Every one of my wooden pieces is alive with its own personality. As diverse as nature, no two are exactly 
alike, which makes each a collector’s item. Each piece begins with images & concepts that take shape in my mind to become the final distinctive design. The basic shape is skillfully cut from wood, colored by acrylic wash, given depth & dimension with acrylic sponge & brush strokes. Next the figure is stained to soften the color, followed by sanding to highlight the wood grain & acrylic texture patterns. To add character & life, fine black lines & a unique signature complete each creation. My works of art can be viewed at my home studio, at selected art shows, and on my web site: www.phillippi.org
